Off-Grid Inverters

Off-Grid Inverters are versatile and can be used in a wide range of scenarios. They are not designed to export electricity to the grid, instead the energy generated from the PV panels is used to charge batteries and power loads connected directly to the inverter. The electricity grid or generator can be connected as a  backup power source depending on the situational needs.

It is also possible to connect an off-grid inverter in parallel to the mains using an automatic transfer switch keeping the inverter isolated from the grid infrastructure. This means that a solar generating system can be installed without the need for permissions from the local DNO. This can be especially useful in areas where the DNO imposes restrictions on the system size which can be installed and connected to their grid infrastructure.
